A Hamber safe can be installed by any competent DIY enthusiast, handyman or builder. Alternatively, depending on where you are in the UK, our own professional and discrete team can often carry out the installation for you.
A Hamber safe can be fitted in any floor type, modern or period, concrete or wooden, and will be invisible above floor wherever it is fitted. For maximum security, an installation location away from normal foot fall is best, such as the corner of a room or the floor inside a cupboard.
Yes. Although an underfloor location is most secure, a Hamber Safe can if necessary be fitted above ground in a reinforced concrete cube, sometimes disguised, for example, as a window seat.

Each range is available with various vault sizes and with traditional key locking or mechanical or electronic combination locking.
Our underfloor safes are available to view before purchasing at our Essex factory headquarters by appointment. A 'pay cash & collect' service is also available for security-conscious customers, or payment can be made by bank transfer, appearing on your statement as 'HS Products'.
No. Our underfloor safes are purposely electronically 'low-tech' and cannot be connected to the internet or operated by an app, even those fitted with electronic combination locking, so they are never electronically locatable or monitored.
Always keep the flush, floor-level dust cover in place to prevent debris entering the neck section, and if the safe is not in regular use, open and close it every few months to keep the mechanism free running.
You can remove the safe door when you move and take it with you, leaving the original vault in the floor. Simply purchase a new vault for your new home and fit the original door. If you let us know after exchanging contracts, we can also provide a card for the new owner explaining the vault, and offer a discount to both parties if they purchase a new door.
